Email is still going strong

Email is one of the most widely used communication tool in the world. Billions of emails are sent out daily for personal and business communication. Email as evolved over the years to include features like text email, graphical email and now rich media. Gmail introduced message mashup to have  threaded conversation. Now facebook has come up with their own version of email to link people.

But email also face a threat from spammers and hackers which cost companies billions of dollars. As internet security protocols are revised and made more robust spam and hack problem should resolve to a great extent.

My personal favorite for email communication is yahoo but gmail is offering bigger space and more features. Hotmail seems to be an old man in this hype crowd.
